I’ve had very few run-ins with red foxes over the years. By far the most memorable was during a family trip to Romania, where I spent a morning with a family of them on the coast of the Black Sea. As the sun broke over the horizon, I spotted several small heads peeking above the rocky jetty they called home. While many remained hidden among the rocks, one curious youngster was bold enough to spend the whole morning with me. It came close, napped, ate, and enjoyed the beautiful view. It was truly one of my favorite mornings of all time.
