"Golden" Burrowing Owl Lustre Paper Wall Art From Scottsdale, Arizona
In the summer of 2024, burrowing owls became my favorite species to photograph. I had wanted to capture them for years but wasn’t sure where I might find them. Then, a friend told me about a spot where they were often seen—and sure enough, I discovered several burrows, each with its own little family and unique photo opportunities.
This particular burrow stood out because it wasn’t in the middle of a parking lot or blocked by objects. This family of Burrowing Owls had built their home in a dirt mound and would sometimes perch on top to relax. I knew the rising sun would bathe them in perfect light, but these owls were more timid than the others. It took several early mornings of patience and quiet waiting before I finally captured the image exactly as I had envisioned it.
Printed on Lustre paper and is printed in-house using the highest quality paper and ink to ensure the highest quality product! All prints are signed, titled, matted, and can be framed!
