When I arrived at this location, I knew exactly the image I wanted: a silhouette of at least one of the birds. However, several of the outings had too much cloud cover, making the shot impossible until the final evening session. When the sun was low enough, I noticed a small group of four or five oystercatchers resting near the shoreline. I managed to crawl up to the group and position myself so that the sun was directly behind them.
