"Barred Siblings" Barred Owls Lustre Paper Wall Art From Shelburne, Vermont

from $55.00

When I arrived this afternoon, one of the chicks had already left the nest and was branching from a nearby tree. I managed to walk up like usual and sit down in my normal spot. However, without realizing it, the branching chick had moved a little bit, and this small change resulted in extra protective behavior from Mama. She began blaring her car alarm to warn me to back up, and of course I listened and moved back, but apparently it wasn’t as fast as she would have liked. Let me first say that I wasn’t closer than I had been in the previous days, and she didn’t warn me during my approach. Back to the story: as I turned to move away, she saw my eyes lose sight of her, and she took her opportunity to really give me a fright. After a few quick seconds, I got a strange feeling and turned around to see her flying directly at me. Luckily, she avoided her attack when I made eye contact and landed on a high branch nearby. I continued moving farther and farther with her, flying to new perches in pursuit of me. Being considerate of her new perimeter, I got creative, managing to find a wonderful wider shot that I absolutely love while keeping mama in a happy and relaxed state!

Printed on Lustre paper and is printed in-house using the highest quality paper and ink to ensure the highest quality product! All prints are signed, titled, matted, and can be framed!
